We’re preparing the launch of a new monthly OSSci virtual meetup series (starting sometime early next year). This format will aim to replicate the traditional meetup experience, whereby opportunities for informal participant-driven socializing are at least as important as the content provided through talk, panels, etc.
We are currently exploring the following themes:
- Teaching open source in higher education
- Tools and techniques for reproducibility
- Mapping the open-source scientific software ecosystem
- Integrated tech stacks for increased scientific productivity
- Bridging the gap between domain experts and software engineers
- How to ship (more) sustainable open source
In case any of these resonate with you, please feel free to share your ideas or any resources in the comments below. Thanks!
